Brandi Powers Awarded 'The 2006 AAU Taekwondo Youth Leadership Award'

AAU Taekwondo is proud to announce that Brandi Powers has been selected as the recipient of the 2006 United States Amateur Athletic Union Taekwondo Youth Leadership Award. She was chosen from a group of seven applicants who all exemplify the character and leadership qualities that this award was created to recognize. Choosing one winner was an extremely difficult task and the AAU Taekwondo program is fortunate to have such outstanding young athletes that are well rounded in all aspects of life as part of our family.  Her Taekwondo competition record is outstanding including medals in competition all around the world. As a member of the AAU Taekwondo National Team the last several years, she has represented the program internationally and performed at the highest level. Her educational resume demonstrates her commitment to excellence in all areas of her life. Maintaining focus and drive will assure her of a great College experience leading to an outstanding future in any professional endeavor she pursues.  Brandi is receiving an award and a Scholarship check in the amount of $1,000.00 for higher education. The AAU Taekwondo program is proud to support her scholastic endeavors.
