This event offered the greatest competition that any AAU team has faced.  Many countries sent their National Teams.  Turkey, France and Spain all brought their 'A' and 'B' team members.

Day one concluded with Samantha Saltamachia winning Silver and Taylor Stone winning Bronze.  Day two saw Anees Hasnain win Gold.  Wow!  Great job.  Congratulations also to Brandi Powers taking Silver and Jon Perieda and Taylor Thornton earning Bronze.  The team was coached by a great staff: Barbara Kunkel, Jason Poos, Gregg Tubbs and Patrice Remark.  Team Manager is Skip Valley.  Team trainer was Trish Bare.  As a courtesy to the Dutch Open, the AAU sponsored Chuong Pham to participate in this event as an IR.

Additional congratulations are in order for Anees Hasnain.  She stayed on in Europe after the AAU Team returned home.  She stayed so that she could compete in the '2007 German Open' the following weekend.  She won Gold.
