Anees Hasnain wins at Olympic Trials Minimize

Anees Hasnain, a 2008 AAU Junior Team Member, won the fly weight division at the Olympic qualifying event held in Colorado Springs on Janaury 26.  Anees, who was coached by AAU National Coach Greg Tubbs,  defeated Mara Perscheid 6-4 and Alexis Martinez 7-4 in the elimination rounds and then went on to defeat Martinez once again in the finals 5-4.  By virtue of her victory this past weekend, Anees will meet Charlotte Craig on April 5, 2008 to decide who will represent the US at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
