Youth Leadership Information and Application Minimize
The AAU Taekwondo Program is accepting applications for the 2010 ‘AAU Taekwondo Youth Leadership Award’. This scholarship award is given to honor one of AAU Taekwondo’s outstanding young Black Belts.

Instructors who know an exceptional 15 – 18 year old Black Belt should submit their application for consideration. This award includes a $1000.00 scholarship for continuing education. It recognizes the individual who demonstrates the qualities of leadership that inspires everyone. Fill out the application attached and return by July 15, 2010.

A three member committee will consider all applicants. This three member committee will be chaired by Mr. Kevin Balon and includes Ms. Cheryl Fuhrmann and Mr. David Lieder. Ms. Fuhrmann and Mr. Lieder are the parents of the first two winners of the Chris Canning Award. They understand the qualities of excellence that are being looked for in the winner as they helped to foster these qualities in their own children.

Announcement of the winner will be made at the annual AAU convention. An award, letter of congratulations and a check will be mailed to the winner following that convention. A story will be put on the home page of our website, www.aautaekwondo.org, for all to see.

We are excited about the opportunity to honor our youth. We look forward to having many applications to choose from.
