 AAU TAEKWONDO ANNOUNCES
ADDITION TO ITS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Orlando, FL

Mike Friello, National Chairman for the AAU Taekwondo Program, announced today the addition of Master Arlene Limas to his Executive Committee.  “Ms. Limas, in her position as a Member Club and member of our National Coaching staff, has for many years now made huge contributions to our Program.  Her dedication to AAU Taekwondo has been exemplary in so many ways!

"For years now I have asked Arlene to take the next step and become an administrative leader within the Program” says Master Friello.  And until now she has been unable to make the additional time sacrifices necessary to make such a move.  However, with a little bit more cajoling following our National Championship this past month, Ms. Limas has committed to an even greater role in AAU Taekwondo.

Ms. Limas’ reputation within both the Point sparring and Olympic sparring environments is unparralled said Master Friello.  She has been and will continue to be a tremendous asset to AAU Taekwondo.  Besides running one of the most successful schools on the East Coast and trainer of far too many to mention elite athletes herself, Ms. Limas is a National Champion (87, 89, 90, 91), World University Champion (86 & 90), Pan-Am champion, World Cup Gold Medalist, and a former Olympic Gold Medalist in 1988.

Master Limas has indicated that there are still many more personal goals within Taekwondo she would like to pursue and that AAU Taekwondo was absolutely, positively the medium through which she feels most confident of achieving those goals.
