July9, 2007:The AAU National Youth and Adult Taekwondo Championships were held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, July 2nd through July 7th. The event took place at the Broward County Convention Center.

June 21, 2007: The 2007 AAU National Youth and Adult Taekwondo Championships are taking place July 2nd through July 7th at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The annual event is expected to draw close to 2,700 participants from across the country and Puerto Rico.

The top athletes will be vying for National Championship honors and a shot at the AAU National Team Trials in September. Athletes will also be competing for medals in first through fourth place in each division.

The National AAU Team will also be in attendance. The team consists of 36 members and competes internationally. This past year the team competed in the Netherlands and Puerto Rico.

A special athlete seminar will alsobe given by the United States National Olympic Coach, Jean Lopez.
