July 10, 2006 Ã¢â‚¬“ The 2006 National AAU Youth and Adult Taekwondo Championship have concluded! Click here for full results!

 

June 28, 2006 - The 2006 National AAU Youth and Adult Taekwondo Championship is coming to Knoxville, Tennessee. Set to take place at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, the Taekwondo Championship promises to be an incredible experience for athletes and fans of all ages.

 

Check in begins on Monday, July 3rd and runs through Thursday, July 6th while competition will start on Tuesday, July 4th and run through Saturday, July 8th.

 

Almost 2000 competitors are expected to compete in this six-day event and will be competing in any of the three categories including Olympic sparring, Forms, and Point sparring competitions. Each category will consist of different age and skill divisions. National AAU Championship medals will be awarded to the top four finishers in each division.

 

In addition to the exciting taekwondo action, there will be an athlete training seminar on July 3rd that will be hosted by four time national team member, Jean Lopez. Furthermore, Lopez is a World-Champion silver medalist, two-time Pan American champion, and coaches at the most successful taekwondo school in the U.S.

 

With so much exciting taekwondo competition for all ages and skill levels, and additional training seminars, there is no way any enthusiast can afford to miss the 2006 National AAU Youth and Adult Taekwondo Championship.
