Congratulations to Elizabeth Farmer, one of this year’s recipient of the AAU Taekwondo Leadership Award.

Meet Elizabeth Farmer who has become an accomplished 2nd Degree Black Belt training with more than 14 years’ experience.  Her AAU competition record is impressive most recently winning golds at the 2018 AAU National Championship.  2018 World Taekwondo President’s Cup and the 2018 World Taekwondo Pan Am Open!  Some of her interests besides Taekwondo include DECA, Swim Team and Track and Field.
                               
Elizabeth’s competition history is astonishing having won Gold at the WA AAU Nationals qualifier in 2016, 2017 & 2018!  In 2018 she was an AAU National B Team member and in 2019 she became an AAU National Team Member!  She also earned the Wildcard Award at the 2019 WT Pan-Am Cadet and Junior Championships.
 
Being a champion outside of class, Elizabeth has shown great leadership by being attentive to her studies while continuing to develop her skills in Taekwondo.  Elizabeth has been an active leader by participating in fundraising for Leukemia and acting as a captain by fundraising for the Washington Elite Taekwondo Association.  Elizabeth distinguishes herself in school by maintaining her status on the Honor Roll.  She has demonstrated extraordinary leadership by becoming an excellent role model inside and outside of her martial arts. 
 
Elizabeth has shown honor, integrity and the true spirit of Taekwondo at the competitions she has attended as well as in her school. She has demonstrated leadership and empathy of others and has helped to motivate younger athletes.  She is a self-motivated individual who loves to share, encourage and inspire others in Taekwondo and take the lessons learned into her everyday life.
