AAU Taekwondo & The World Children Sport Committee Sign MOU

AAU Taekwondo and the World Children Sport Committee, based in Seoul, South Korea, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote humanitarian, peace, and development initiatives in sports.

The MOU Signing Ceremony between AAU Taekwondo and The World Children Sport Committee via video conference, October 14th, 2020.

AAU Taekwondo and the World Children Sport Committee, based in Seoul, South Korea, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote humanitarian, peace, and development initiatives in sports.

This is great news leading into the first ever AAU Taekwondo Virtual Nationals on October 17th, 24th, and 25th. With over 1,300 athletes participating and over 4,000 divisions, this event will be the largest online competition thus far in 2020.
 
The World Children Sport Committee (WorldCSC) will host the 2020 Seoul Cup, an online international open youth taekwondo championship. More information and details will be available soon!
 
AAU Taekwondo and WorldCSC will immediately join forces and work together with one common goal towards the development of Taekwondo as a sport through mutual collaboration programs, including Taekwondo seminars, training, and competitions.
 
Special thanks to Grandmaster Thac Nguyen, AAU National Executive Member, and Grandmaster Kwangil Bae, AAU National Sr. Advisor, in leading this project and assisting AAU Taekwondo National Sports Chair, Grandmaster Robert Stone, and Vice Chair, Grandmaster Joe Hasan.
 
We also would like to thank AAU Arizona State District Director, Grandmaster Christopher Kim, for serving as the MC and translator for the signing ceremony.
 
At the conclusion of his speech, Grandmaster Stone stated that he’s looking forward to the great opportunity in working with President Hyun Suk Seo of the World Children Sport Committee to grow both organizations’ memberships and also to expand their brands overseas.
